Considering representations within our music video

colours/ filters represents

With the intention to use a black and white filter throughout the entire video, this portrays a representation of simplicity, drama, distinctive features, emotion and with the aim for audience attention to be mainly focussed on the storyline and performance rather than the surroundings.

Styling represents (clothing, makeup, hair)
Although she is wearing little amount,  the female will be presented wearing makeup however as this is suggesting that parts of the relationship are still concealed and there are some aspects of faking. She is plain and simple, suggesting she does not stand out to the male dancer and is no lo longer what he wants.

Our chosen style for the dancers represents innocence, natural beauty, simplicity.

sexuality-
The male dancer could be considered as homosexual as he no longer has feelings for the female he is dancing with, the sexuality is open for interpretation by the viewers of the video as nothing is specifically being suggested through the visuals or the lyrics of the chosen song, therefore the viewers can be decisive and put a storyline which they feel fits the video themselves.

Lighting/monochrome filter represents-
emotion, aggression, simplicity, sympathy, innocence, emptiness

Dancing style represents-
The decision to use a contemporary style of dance within our music video comes from the expressive and descriptive nature. It allows the dancers to clearly get across thoughts and feelings to the audience relating to the lyrics without having to actually state them.
ideas represented through the dance include:
(Before the flash of light representing the sudden realisation of the female:)
emotion, doubt, power, confusion, tension build up.
(After the realisation, representations of the dancing style:)
anger, aggression, emotion, passion, confidence, determination.

Male dancer represents-
The male character represents dominance and having more authority over the current situations in terms of his relationship with the female, he also represents confusion and high levels of control and power as he is presented to be the person who makes the decisions and breaking out

Female dancer represents-
Seems a burden for the male, unwanted, creates a dull and heavy mood and atmosphere, powerless in comparison: she wants to remain adored by the male but he does not seem to want the relationship anymore.
