Final digi pack

Recently i have been given feed back on my first drat of my digipack. This is my CD cover digipack for my cover that i am making for the album that our song will be appearing on. i feel that it has developed a huge amount form my first idea as i have taken the lines out as they looked scruffy and a bit all over the place and had no purpose to be there. i have decided to still use lines however block square lines to give more structure i have looked through some books and taken bits i feel will work as i wanted the look to be quite plain and simple to match the atmosphere of the music on the playlist.

I feel that from the feedback that i was originally given i have developed my idea a lot and it appears less busy and more structured. i think that by using just the two colour allows you to look at all of the poster and digipack without being distracted by one single colour.

  1. 1. The final designs looks a lot more professional. The new layout is controlled and tidy and all of the panels compliment each other.

    2. The branding and legal info looks legitimate.
The minimalist design reflects the genre conventions.
Many artists have adopted this style, so yours fits in nicely.

    3. The poster, unlike a lot of posters, has very little on it. This is effective.

    4. Both products look realistic and I can easily imagine them in a shop.

  2. Your final design is a vast improvement to your draft. I find the way that you have created a design and you have been consistent with it on both your digipak and advert has made it look very professional and it creates a more realistic look. I also find the way that you have used the same design for your cover as your advert to make the design look consistent and it gives it that edge as it looks like you would see it in an actual CD store.

  3. A much more professional design in comparison to the draft versions, I really like the minimalistic approach taken on both the digipak and advert as this matches the typical conventions of indie/alt genre as well as ideas presented within the music video. The monotone colour scheme makes a statement and is very stylish. Both products are appealing and would be effective methods of promoting the band and album release.

  4. Your take on what a digipak and advert should look like are very inspired and you have managed to create something that looks extremely professional whilst continuing with a minimalistic theme. You have managed to create a consistent motif throughout both products, which is effective because then the audience will be able to identify the band incredibly easily! Well done!
